AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($29,500.00) from Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Watkins
Creek and Two Hundred Forty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($240,500.00) from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary and storm sewer construction and private I/I removal
in Ashbrook I/I Reduction (Ashbrook Dr and Chambers Rd) (12080) in the Cities of
Bellefontaine Neighbors and Moline Acres, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 20532 with Gershenson Construction Co. for the aforesaid sanitary and storm
sewer construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary and storm sewer construction and private I/I
removal is Two Hundred Forty-Three Thousand Dollars ($243,000.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Seven Thousand Dollars
($27,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($29,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek and the sum of Two Hundred Forty Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($240,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for
sanitary and storm sewer construction and private I/I removal in Ashbrook I/I Reduction
(Ashbrook Dr and Chambers Rd) (12080) in the Cities of Bellefontaine Neighbors and Moline
Acres, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20532 with Gershenson Construction Co., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary and
storm sewer construction and private I/I removal in Ashbrook I/I Reduction (Ashbrook Dr and
Chambers Rd) (12080) in the Cities of Bellefontaine Neighbors and Moline Acres, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 7th day of February, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on April 13, 2017.
