AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for wastewater treatment plant construction in Lemay
WWTF Concrete Preservation (12428) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20533 with KCI Construction Company for
the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is One
Million Seven Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-One Dollars
($1,794,991.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Two Hundred Five Thousand Nine Dollars ($205,009.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for wastewater treatment plant construction in
Lemay WWTF Concrete Preservation (12428) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20533 with KCI Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater
treatment plant construction in Lemay WWTF Concrete Preservation (12428) in Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of February, 2017.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on April 13, 2017.
