HomeMy Public PortalAbout14413 Lemay Watershed Public II Removal North Hampton Creek (12470)ORDINANCE NO. 14413 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for public I/I removal in Lemay Watershed Public I/I Removal – North Hampton Creek (12470) in the Cities of Clayton, Maplewood, and Richmond Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20416 with SAK Construction LLC for the aforesaid public I/I removal. WHEREAS, the bid for said public I/I removal is Two Million Six Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Nine and 79/100 Dollars ($2,667,669.79) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand Three Hundred Thirty and 21/100 Dollars ($132,330.21); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for public I/I removal in Lemay Watershed Public I/I Removal – North Hampton Creek (12470) in the Cities of Clayton, Maplewood, and Richmond Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20416 with SAK Construction LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for public I/I removal in Lemay Watershed Public I/I Removal – North Hampton Creek (12470) in the Cities of Clayton, Maplewood, and Richmond Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 25th day of May 2016. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted on August 11, 2016.
