AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in
Mackenzie I/I Reduction (11653) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20433 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., for the aforesaid
private I/I removal and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
One Million Six Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-One Dollars
($1,673,261.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Three Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-Nine Dollars ($326,739.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal and storm sewer
construction in Mackenzie I/I Reduction (11653) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20433 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Mackenzie I/I Reduction (11653) in the City of
Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 21st day of June 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on August 11, 2016.
