AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Three Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($4,330,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for public I/I removal in
University City Public I/I Reduction – East (UR-08 and UR-09) (12437) in the Cities of Olivette
and University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20412 with
Insituform Technologies USA, LLC for the aforesaid public I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said public I/I removal is Four Million One Hundred
Twenty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Four and 35/100 Dollars ($4,122,204.35) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Seven
Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Five and 65/100 Dollars ($207,795.65); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($4,330,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for public I/I
removal in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (UR-08 and UR-09) (12437) in the Cities
of Olivette and University City, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20412 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for public
I/I removal in University City Public I/I Reduction – East (UR-08 and UR-09) (12437) in the
Cities of Olivette and University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 8th day of June
2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on August 11, 2016.
