HomeMy Public PortalAbout14423 Austin Place and Lockwood Ave Storm Sewer (11213)ORDINANCE NO. 14423 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seventy- Five Thousand Dollars ($1,075,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Austin Place and Lockwood Ave. Storm Sewer (11213) in the Cities of Glendale and Oakland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20434 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Nine Hundred Forty-One Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-One Dollars ($941,991.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand Nine Dollars ($133,009.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($1,075,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for storm sewer construction in Austin Place and Lockwood Ave. Storm Sewer (11213) in the Cities of Glendale and Oakland, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 20434 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer construction in Austin Place and Lockwood Ave. Storm Sewer (11213) in the Cities of Glendale and Oakland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 15th day of June 2016. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted on August 11, 2016.
