HomeMy Public PortalAbout14468 Politte and Kaysing Lease AgreementORDINANCE NO. 14468 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer to lease certain real property of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, lying in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to Linda Politte and James Edward Kaysing of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, and to execute a Lease Agreement upon the conditions hereinafter set out. WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to lease to Linda Politte and James Edward Kaysing certain portions of property located on or about 8520 Michigan Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63111 (the “Leased Property”) solely for lawful and non- industrial/non-commercial activities that do not interfere with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District’s existing and reasonably anticipated uses; and WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District is not using the Leased Property, has no current plans to use the Leased Property, and believes that entering into the Lease Agreement with Linda Politte and James Edward Kaysing is advantageous and in the public’s best interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District does hereby lease to Linda Politte and James Edward Kaysing, upon the general terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, certain portions of property located on or about 8520 Michigan Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63111 (the “Leased Property”) solely for lawful and non-industrial/non-commercial activities that do not interfere with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District’s existing and reasonably anticipated uses. Section Two. The lease term shall commence immediately upon the enactment of this ordinance and the initial term of the Lease Agreement shall be fifteen (15) years (the “Initial Lease Term”) and shall automatically renew for additional one (1) year terms unless and until the Lease Agreement is terminated by the parties. Section Three. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District a Lease Agreement giving effect to Sections One and Two hereof, and embodying such other general terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel. The foregoing ordinance was adopted on August 11, 2016.
