HomeMy Public PortalAbout15393 Brookshire Sanitary Relief (Brookshire Dr to Cougar Dr) (12104)ORDINANCE NO. 15393 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00 ) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in Brookshire Sanitary Relief (Brookshire Dr to Cougar Dr) (12104) in the City of Florissant and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21906 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Three Million Six Hundred Eighty -Four Thousand Nine Hundred Forty -Four Dollars ($3,684,944.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Fifteen Thousand Fifty -Six Dollars ($315 ,056 .00 ); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Brookshire Sanitary Relief (Brookshire Dr to Cougar Dr) (12104) in the City of Florissant and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21906 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction in Brookshire Sanitary Relief (Brookshire Dr to Cougar Dr) (12104) in the City of Florissant and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received o n the 1 4 th day of April, 2020. Section Th ree. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 11, 2020.
