Dear Business Owner,
The Valley County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the following at 12:00
p.m. on October 4, 2022, during their regularly scheduled meeting, in the Valley County
Courthouse, at 219 N. Main, in Cascade, Idaho. This is an action item.
Resolution 22-19 Adopt Tiered System for Commercial Solid Waste Fee -Container,· Volume Based Description Rate
Commercial Up to 2 Cans $220 Smaller businesses such as small offices, coffee
#1 shops, etc.
Commercial Up to 4 Cans $440 Small to medium size businesses such as medium offices
#2 or small cafes.
Commercial Up to 8 cans or 1 Dumpsters $880 Medium size businesses, such as smaller motels, office
#3 buildings, etc.
Commercial Up to 16 cans or 2 $1,760 Medium to large businesses such as larger office buildings,
#4 Dumpsters supply stores, convenient stores, etc.
Commercial Up to 4 Dumpsters with one $2,640 Larger businesses such as hotels, smaller grocery stores,
#5 or more cans large motels, etc.
Commercial 5 or more Dumpsters with $3,520 This category is for large businesses. If the business also
#6 one or more cans uses a compactor, they shift into Commercial #7.
Commercial This category covers the businesses that use their own
#7 Compactor(s) Case By Case 121 garbage

You are invited to participate in the public hearing and/or comment on the proposal. Written
comments must be received by mail, or email no later than 5:00 p.m., September 30, 2022.
