AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A PERSONNEL POLICY
• AND PROCEDURE MANUAL FOR THE
CITY OF GREENCASTLE
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Greencastle to provide a consistent,
systematic and organized approach to the establishment and implementation and administration
of personnel policies and;
WHEREAS, personnel manual will assist and guide personnel in a day -to -day direction
and the general performance of the work force and;
WHEREAS, implementation of uniform personnel policies will provide for consistent
impartial administration and improve working relationships amongst employees;
WHEREAS, the personnel manual will provide support, direction and procedures to
enable the City to practice fair and consistent personnel administration and provide fair and equal
opportunities for recruitment to all employees,
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that
the personnel policy and p ocedure manual attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance be
adopted this 121z day of� t , L997.
