Are you interested in learning more about homeland security or emergency preparedness in the community? Through the efforts of the Plainfield Police Chief John Konopek and Plainfield Fire Chief David Riddle, residents living in and around the Village of Plainfield and the Plainfield Fire Protection District will have the opportunity to explore these topics and others by attending the 13th session of the Plainfield Citizen's Police and Fire Academy, which is scheduled for Winter/Spring 2015 Citizens are invited to attend this ten (10) week program held on consecutive Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., beginning February 19th, 2015. The classes are free of charge and conducted at various locations in the Village of Plainfield. Classes are taught by personnel from the Plainfield Police, Fire and Ambulance Departments and the curriculum has been designed to be informative as well as beneficial for those attending. Sessions include both lecture and hands-on instruction. Chief Konopek and Chief Riddle are encouraging citizens to enroll in this program and the deadline for reaistration is 5:00 a.m. on Mondav February 13th. 2015.
