A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PART -TIME RESIDENTIAL/COMMERCIAL
CONTRACTED BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA
WHEREAS, there the City's current inspector, Ed Johnson, has submitted his resignation effective December
31, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City needs to contract a part-time Building Inspector; and
THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, the City Council is approving the Mayor and City Administrator to offer a
contract to Brian Shay to be selected as the City's part-time Residential /Commercial Contracted Building
Inspector starting January 1, 2013, subject to approval of the contract by the City Council.
On this 26th day of September 2012 at a special meeting of Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Council person
Ryan introduced RESOLUTION 2012 -53 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PART -TIME
RESIDENTIAL /COMMERCIAL CONTRACTED BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA
and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by Council person Upton.
AYES: Peggy Upton, Mike Ryan, Jim Bartels
NAYS: None
ABSENT: None
WHEREUPON, with three votes for approval, Mayor Berner declared that Resolution 2012 -53 A
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PART -TIME RESIDENTIAL /COMMERCIAL CONTRACTED BUILDING
INSPECTOR FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing
his signature thereto.
