RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS AND PROCEDURE,
FOR THE INSPECTION OF BUILDING PROJECTS AND ALTERATIONS AND COMPENSATION
OF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR.
The village council of the Village of Medina resolves
that the following rules shall govern the issuance of building permits
and the procedure for inspection of building projects and alterations
and the compensation of the building inspector:
1) A building committee including one member of the council,
one member of the planning commission and the building inspector be
appointed to see that the building ordinances are followed. This committee
to meet twice monthly between council meetings.
2) The inspector will issue all building permits approved
by the building committee which will determine if application meets
specifications. Any application which does not meet specifications must
be deferred to the planning commission for recommendation to the council.
3) The inspector must be notified by the builder at least
24 hours before inspections are to be made on the following items:
a) foundations
b) framing and plumbing
c) sewage di spoba.l
d) well
4) A check list must be prepared from building ordinances
listing all specifications for use by builder and inspector.
5) Building permits must be posted in conspicious place on site.
6) Building inspector must be supplied with applicationf orms
and check list for each inspection to be made. Also with half section maps
to locate building sites.
7) Inspection check list indicating inspections have been made,
including time required to make inspections, to be submitted to the
council monthly by the inspector and that he be paid the full amount
of the fees collected for that particular project.
