ORDINANCE NO. 1997- 14
Synopsis: Ordinance for the adoption of
the updated Computer Generated
Zoning Map.
WHEREAS, the Plan Comission of the City of Greencastle
recognizes that the city of Greencastle is experiencing a change in the
uses in its zoning districts and a need for an updated zoning map and
that computer technology now allows for such changes to be more precise
in defining such areas, and;
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission was presented with such a computer
generated model (Auto -Cad) by Chris Barnes, the city's engineer at its
regularly scheduled meeting in May, 1997, and;
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission desires to adopt these redefined
districts as the city's official zoning map, and;
® WHEREAS, the Plan Commission made a favorable recommendation to the
City Council for this purpose, and;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Greencastle City Code 806 -5(b), the Plan
Commission shall have such map on display at city hall for the public
inspection.
No0w THEREFORE, the Greencastle Plan Commission hereby adopts this
ordinance). that the Computer Generated Zoning May as presented by the city
engineer should be adopted by the City Council as the official zoning map
for the City of Greencastle.
