Gonzalez, Village Manager DATE: August 29, 2014 SUBJECT: Summer's End Family + Food Truck st The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to remind you that on Sunday, August 31, 2014, the Village will be hosting the Summer's End Family + Food Truck Fest from noon until 3:00 p.m. in the Bal Harbour Park/Village Hall Parking Lot. Activities that will be a part of this fun and family -friendly event for Bal Harbour Village residents include: • Face Painting and Juggling; • Toddler Play Sensory Station; • Carnival Games; and, • Outdoor Art Studio Additionally, this event will give our residents a taste of the local gourmet culture. Food trucks participating during this event are as follows: • Moty's Mediterranean (Vegetarian); • Ms. Cheezious (New American Cuisine); • Boba Station (Exotic Juices/Shakes); and, • Paradise (Shaved Ice) The event will take place within the Village Hall Parking Lot, which will require the lot be closed for public use beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014 through 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2014. To facilitate resident attendance, a courtesy Bal Harbour Shuttle will operate along Collins Avenue beginning at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2014. The route will have stops at each property on the east and west side of Collins Avenue, a stop on Harbour Way (west) to service residents in the Gated Residential area. For Council Members and any Village staff member wishing to attend this event, the Parks and Public Spaces Department has secured a number of parking spaces on the ground floor of the Bal Harbour Shops Garage. The designated spaces are accessible via the 96`h LTC # 013-2014 Summer's End Family + Food Truck Fast Page 2 of 2 Street entrance for the Bal Harbour Shops, and are located along the wall abutting Park Drive.
