LETTER TO COUNCIL
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you that Artex Productions and The Sand
Sculpture Company will be filming a time-lapse documentary titled the "Art of Sand Sculpturing" on Bal
Harbour Beach.
The Sand Sculpting Company features artists who hold Guinness World Records, as well as the current
North American, and Canadian Sand Sculpt champions.
The art sculptured will be a spectacular rendition of world famous European architecture and art work. I
am providing a link to The Sand Sculpting Company's website, if you would like to preview some of their
sand artwork: http://www.sandsculpting.com.
The Village has required that the company use a high quality natural beach sand, and that the sand and
the sculpture be placed on a tarp to prevent comingling with existing beach sand, as well as to aid in the
removal at the conclusion of the event.
The filming will take place on the beach just north of the 96'h Street entrance beginning on Tuesday,
November 11, 2014 and will continue throughout the week as they complete the sculpture ending on
Sunday, November 16, 2014. The sculpture will be removed on Monday, November 17, 2014.
The Village will be sharing information about the event with residents and business and I encourage you
to take an opportunity to pass by and see the sculpture.
