SUBJECT: "Unscripted Access Special Edition December 2014" Brochure
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you that the Village has distributed
via mail to all residents copies of "Unscripted Access Special Edition December 2014." This
comprehensive brochure outlines Unscripted Bal Harbour's programming - for the week of
Art Basel Miami Beach which runs from December 4, 2014 through December 7, 2014.
Art Basel Miami Beach is the most important art show in this hemisphere - a cultural and
social highlight for the Americas. Art Basel Miami Beach combines an international selection
of top galleries, with an exciting program of special exhibitions, parties and crossover
events featuring music, film, architecture and design.
This year, Unscripted Bal Harbour created special additional programming for our residents
and guests during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach.
Claire Breukel, the curator for Unscripted Bal Harbour, has provided her recommendation of
must see exhibits, which are included in the brochure as "Claire Breukel's Top Picks Over
Art Basel Miami Beach."
Attached for your reference is a copy of the brochure. Residents should have started
receiving brochures in their mailboxes the week of November 10, 2014.

Bal Harbour residents and guests receive special access privileges to
three partner art fairs this December on presentation of the Unscripted
Bal Harbour Access Card atthe fair's entrances. This exclusive card also
offers free entry into Miami's leading museums and private collections.

location of PULSE Contemporary Art Fair on Miami Beach. You are

In it's third edition, the UNTITLED. art fair is a curated fair for international
galleries and nonprofit art spaces that focus on emerging and mid -
career contemporary art. Housed in a unique tent structure designed
by architects K/R, the fair offers a light and spacious art -viewing
of Bal Harbour. It provides free experience. Bal Harbour residents will have the opportunity to sign up

projects for Collins Park. The tour group
will then walk over to the Miami Beach
Convention Center for part two of the

residents around select art fair booths to
speak about artworks by internationally
renowned artists on exhibition. Guests
are welcome to join the tour at the Bass

Pablo Leon de la Barra, the Guggenheim UBS MAP curator of Latin
American art at the Guggenheim Museum in New York will be speaking
to Tania Bruguera, Cuba's most renowned contemporary installation
and performance artist. Having worked together this year as part of
the exhibition "Under The Same Sun: Latin America Art Today" at the
Guggenheim Museum, Leon de la Barra and Bruguera's conversation
will address her work The Francis Effect, a performance where the artist
and her collaborators collected signatures on postcards addressed to
Pope Francis that endorse his supportive stance toward immigrants,
among others.
