Gonzalez, Village Manager DATE: November 24, 2014 U SUBJECT: Water Main Break on 96'h Street The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to advise you of the ongoing water main repair along 96'h Street in front of Village Hall. On Sunday November 23, 2014 at 10:00 am, Parks and Public Spaces staff identified water rising through the pavement on the North side of the West bound lane of 96'h Street. It was determined that the source of the water was a result of a Village 12 water main, which is leaking at a coupling. Village staff, along with C & I Construction and Craig A. Smith, responded to begin repairs, at which time, one lane of traffic was closed. At this time, the water break has been isolated with no water service disruption and a boil water order has not been issued. Due to concerns of the stability of the remaining open West bound lane of 96'h Street, the West bound traffic lane has been closed under the direction the Bal Harbour Police Department. Currently, traffic is being redirected to one East bound lane The repairs are ongoing with an estimated completion on Tuesday November 25, 2014.
