ORDINANCE NO. 68 -261
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ADDING
NEW SECTION 3335 TO THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO PROHIBITING OF BACK -IN PARKING
ON MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. A new Section 3335 reading as follows is hereby
added to the Temple City Municipal Code:
"Sec. 3335. Back -in Parking on Municipal Parking Lots
Prohibited
When appropriate signs are posted, no person shall stand
or park a vehicle on a Municipally owned or operated park-
ing lot in such manner that such vehicle is backed into
a marked stall. There shall be exempted from the restric-
tions of this Section, all trucks in excess of three ton
gross weight, loading or unloading."
SECTION 2. PENALTY. Any person, firm or corporation violat-
ing this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500., or by
imprisonment in the City or County Jail for a periof of not to exceed
six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its approv-
al by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in the Temple
City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published,
and circulated in the City of Temple City.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of February,
1968.

was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Temple City, held on the 16th of Jan. 1968, and was duly passed,
approved and adopted by said Council, approved and signed by the Mayor
and attested by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 20th day of February , 1968, by the following vote:

NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen- Beckley, Tyrell
