ORDINANCE 1997 - 13
Synopsis: Ordinance for the adoption of the
People Pathway's bicycle and pedestrian
paths in and around Greencastle city limits.
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Greencastle desires
to establish and designate specific roadways and travelways for
movement throughout the city and within the two mile fringe of the city
limits,
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission was presented with a proposal of
such a plan by Chris Barnes, the city's engineer, at its regularly
scheduled meeting in May, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission believes that these plans are good
for the welfare and health of the citizens of Greencastle; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission made a favorable recommendation to
the City Council to adopt an ordinance implementing this concept plan; and
NOW TFER —=RE, the Greencastle Plan Commission hereby adopts this
ordinance that the plan for the People Pathway's Bicycle and Pedestrian
Paths, as attached, should be adopted by the City Council and included
in the city's master plan.
All so APPROVED and ADOPTED this day of June, 1997 by a
vote of `) ayes to ( nays.
