RESOLUTION NO. 84-41
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MID
PENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT APPROVIN_G
THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE REGIONAL
CO�IPETITIVE PROGRAM OF THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ACT OF 1984 FOR PURISIMA
CREEK REDWOODS OPEN SPACE PRESERVE PUBLIC ACCESS
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the
California Park and Recreational Facilities Act of 1984, which provides
funds to the· state of California and its political subdivisions for
developing facilities for public recreational purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program
within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing application
by.local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department ·of
Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution
the approval of applications before submission of said applications
to the state; and
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant
must comply with"; arid .

WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement with
the State of California for development rehabilitation or restoration
of the project:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application for 1984 state grant assistance
for the above project; and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and certifi
cation in the application:;. and
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds to
operate and maintain the project, and if the project is selected
for state grant funding;
4. Certifies that said organization will provide construction plans
and specifications to the state within one year of the appropriation
of funds under this program and will commence work inunediately after
state approval; and
5. Appoints the General Manager or Assistant General Manager as agent
of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District to conduct all
negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not
limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests,
and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the afore
mentioned pro �ect.
RESOLUTION NO. 84-41
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Open Space District on Oc tober 24 ,1984 at a
regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:
AYES: Katherine Duffy, Erenestine Henshaw, Edward Shelley, Uonette
Hanko, Harry Turner, and Richard Bishop.
NOES: Hone.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSEHT: Daniel Wendin.
