SUBJECT: Dolphins Cycling Challenge
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you that on Saturday, February 7, 2015,
the Dolphins Cycling Challenge will be taking place, and will be impacting traffic in the Bal
Harbour Village. This county -wide event is held annually in support of the Sylvester
Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The Challenge's course will specifically impact the Village between lam and 10am, while
potentially up to 400 cyclists will travel north bound on Collins Avenue to the Haulover Bridge.
The Bal Harbour Police Department will be mitigating any impacts on traffic by posting police
officers at the intersections along Collins Avenue, to ensure the safety of pedestrians, cyclists,
as well as maintain the flow of vehicular traffic.
