SUBJECT: Bal Harbour Police Department - Relay for Life 5K
This Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you of the Bal Harbour Village Relay for Life 5K
walk/run taking place on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 7:30am. Each year, more than 4
million people in over 20 countries raise much -needed funds and awareness to save
lives from cancer through the Relay for Life movement. Bal Harbour Village will be
holding the 5K walk/run event to bring awareness, and raise funds to help find a cure for
this dreaded disease. The run/walk will cover 3.5 miles starting at 96 Street. The course
will traverse the Collins Avenue corridor and the beautiful beach path culminating at Bal
Bay Drive in front of Bal Harbour Park. Please see the attached diagram.
This disease is consistently one of the leading causes of death in America. It is safe to
say that everyone has known someone who has been negatively impacted by cancer.
Please join me in encouraging our residents to support this worthy cause. For more
