HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 68-266ORDINANCE NO. 68 -266 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING SECTIONS 9202, 9390 AND 9410 OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING REGULATIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1. Commission and Municipal Code SECTION.2. follows:. Pursuant to recommendation of the Planning public hearing held thereon, the Temple City is hereby amended as follows: Section 9202 is hereby amended to read as 9202. Conditional Use Permits. When Required. The purpose of any conditional use permit shall be to insure that the proposed use will be rendered compatible with other existing, and permitted uses, located in the general area of the proposed use. The uses hereinafter listed, shall be deemed per- mitted uses in any C or M. Zone in the City., .. and in R.Zones, if so designated herein, provided that a conditional use permit therefor is first obtained pursuant to the provisions of Division III hereof. SECTION 3. Subsections 7, 14, 21, 26 and 36 of Section 9202 are hereby amended to read as follows: 7. Churches, temples and other places of worship, including locations in any R Zone. 14. Educational institutions, including locations in any R Zone. 21. Homes for the aged, including locations in any R -3 or R -4 Zones. 26. Nursery schools, including locations in any R -3 or R -4 Zone (a conditional use permit shall not be required if the use is designated as a: permitted use in a Zone) . 36. Resident school (mentally retarded), , including locations in any R -3 or R -4 Zone. SECTION 4. Subsection 37 of Section 9202 is hereby deleted. SECTION 5., Section \9390 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following subsection: 60(a) Swimming pool supplies, predominantly retail, provided that all goodsdisplayed for sale or rental, or stored in connection therewith, are, at all times, located wholly within an enclosed building. 1 Ordinance No. 68 -266 SECTION 6. Section 9410 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following subsection: 29(a) Electrical transmission substation. SECTION 7. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City' shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Temple City.
