Burglary Arrest 9700 Collins Ave (Bal Harbour Sho s Parkin Lot Narrative Sunny Isles Beach Police Department issued a broadcast to all neighboring agencies, in reference to suspects which were observed rummaging through the personal belongings of customers at the Starbucks Restaurant in their city. Upon the arrival of the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department the suspects had fled the scene. Moments later the Bal Harbour Police Department received a call of a female inside the Makoto Restaurant rummaging through the personal belongings of restaurant's employees. The restaurant was closed at the time with only the cleaning crew authorized to be inside. As the officers were in route a construction worker notified Code Officer Mobley that there was a female inside his personal vehicle searching through the glove compartment of the vehicle. The description of the female matched the description of the suspect in the previous two (2) incidents. Upon the arrival of the police officers, the female was still inside the construction worker's vehicle. She was detained by the officers without incident and arrested. The victims from Sunny Isles Beach responded to the scene and positively identified the female as the same suspect in their case. OVERTON Chief of Police &\ OF R& NA1, FLA Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/08/15 Vehicle for Hire Violations 9800 Collins Ave Narrative The Bal Harbour Police Department recently entered into an inter -local agreement with the Miami -Dade County, Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. The agreement allows the department to enforce violations of the vehicle for hire ordinances. In conducting compliance checks, the officers cited three (3) violators. Date Incident/Arrest Location 03/09/15 Assist Other Agency Surfside Police Traffic Crash/Fatalit Harding Avenue and 86 Street Narrative The Town of Surfside Police Department requested assistance with traffic management, due to a fatal traffic crash that occurred in the town. But Harbour Police Department assisted with traffic control on Harding Avenue, at the intersections of 90 and 96 Streets. The scene was cleared by 9:00 P.M. Date Incident Arrest Location 03/11/15 Illegal Dumping 9910 Collins Avenue Narrative The Bal Harbour Police Department received a call alerting officers to illegal dumping in the parking lot of 9910 Collins Avenue. The complainant provided a description of the vehicle as well as the two men observed dumping the property. The responding officers were successful in identifying and locating the suspects who were detained, and subsequently confessed to their actions. The suspects were cited accordingly and the dumped property was removed. Completed by: Captain M.
