Narrative
Sunny Isles Beach Police Department issued a broadcast to all neighboring agencies, in reference to suspects which were
observed rummaging through the personal belongings of customers at the Starbucks Restaurant in their city. Upon the arrival of
the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department the suspects had fled the scene. Moments later the Bal Harbour Police Department
received a call of a female inside the Makoto Restaurant rummaging through the personal belongings of restaurant's employees.
The restaurant was closed at the time with only the cleaning crew authorized to be inside. As the officers were in route a
construction worker notified Code Officer Mobley that there was a female inside his personal vehicle searching through the glove
compartment of the vehicle. The description of the female matched the description of the suspect in the previous two (2)
incidents. Upon the arrival of the police officers, the female was still inside the construction worker's vehicle. She was detained
by the officers without incident and arrested. The victims from Sunny Isles Beach responded to the scene and positively
identified the female as the same suspect in their case. The subject was charged with multiple counts of theft and burglary.
