SUBJECT: Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit the Comprehensive Annual
Financial Report for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2014, which was revised since
distribution at the February 17, 2015 Village Council meeting.
The revision includes additional information related to the General Employee and Police
Pensions on pages 51 and 52, and the inclusion of two additional tables on page 74. This
information, included in prior years, was superseded by the new GASB Pronouncement
Number 67, however the external auditors Marcum LLP, advised that GASB has
requested this information remain within Financial Statements until the rollout of GASB
Pronouncement Number 68 within FY 2015 reporting.
In addition, Statistical information for the Village found on page 90 was also updated to
reflect FY 2014 assessed value data.
This does not change any aspects of the Village financials or audit conclusions as
presented by Michael Futterman of Marcum LLP at the February Village Council meeting.
Individual briefings for Councilmembers can be scheduled as so desired.
