MINUTES OF THE PLAINFIELD POLICE PENSION BOARD
MEETING ON OCTOBER 9, 2014

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Sec. R. Meszaros at 6:34 P.M
ROLL CALL: Present: Pres. J. Cook, Sec. R. Meszaros, Trustees M. Fisher, S. Cousins, A.
Grod
Guests Present: Tom Sawyer, John Falduto of Sawyer-Falduto Asset
Management LLC, Attorney Rick Reimer of Reimer&Karlson, LLC , and
Derek Flessner and Todd Schroeder, EA of Lauterbach & Amen LLP
Absent: None
Members Present: None
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by Sec. Meszaros to approve the minutes of the July 10, 2014 meeting
as presented. Seconded by Trustee Cousins. Voice vote taken. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Cousins to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting on
July 18, 2014 as presented. Seconded by Pres. Cook. Voice vote taken. Motion carried.
Public Comment: None
Financial Reports:
A motion was made by Pres. Cook and seconded by Trustee Grod to approve the monthly
financial reports through July 2014 as presented. Roll call vote: J. Cook-yes, R. Meszaros-
yes, M. Fisher-yes, S. Cousins-yes, A. Grod-yes. Motion carried.
The complete report will be on file in the pension office for review
Application for Membership: None
Application for Benefits:
A motion was made to accept the transfer of creditable service of Officer Sean Kozak of 3
years, 7 months and 19 days from Washington Police Pension Fund to the Plainfield Police
Pension Fund in the amount of $23,191.62. To be paid by Kozak over 26 payrolls at
$918.07 per, with Washington already transferring another $36,560.30. Motion by Trustee
Cousins and seconded by Pres. Cook. Roll call vote taken: J. Cook-yes, R. Meszaros-yes, M.
Fisher-yes, S. Cousins-yes, A. Grod-yes. Motion carried.

Unfinished Business:
Todd Schroeder of Lauterbach & Amen presented the Actuary Report with updates to certain
assumptions. After much discussion, the Board will vote on the levy amount at a special
meeting held October 20, 2014.
New Business:
Tom Sawyer presented the Investment Performance Report for the 3rd Quarter 2014. After
some discussion a motion was made by Pres. Cook and seconded by Trustee Cousins. Roll
call vote: J. Cook-yes, R. Meszaros-yes, M. Fisher-yes, S. Cousins-yes, A. Grod-yes. Motion
carried.
The complete report will be on file in the pension office for review.
A motion was made by Trustee Cousins and seconded by Trustee Grod to accept the
meeting schedule for 2015. Voice Vote: All in favor. Motion carried.
Attorney Report:
Mr. Rick Reimer presented and distributed some legal and legislative updates that have
happened since our last meeting.
Closed Session: None
Adjournment:
With no further business a motion was made by Trustee Fisher and seconded by Trustee
Grod to adjourn. Voice vote taken. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
