A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE
VILLAGE WITH FIREWORKS BY GRUCCI,
INCORPORATED, BROOKHAVEN, NEW YORK;
WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING: PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council supports a Fourth of July
fireworks display for residents and visitors on Key Biscayne;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an
agreement on behalf of the Village with Fireworks by Grucci,
Incorporated, Brookhaven, New York, at a cost not to exceed $26,000
in 1993, $40,000 in 1994 and $60,000 for 1995 and 1996, to provide
a Fourth of July fireworks display.
Section 2. The Village Council waives the competitive bidding
procedures pursuant to Section 5 of Ordinance 92-15.
Section 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately
upon adoption.
