SUBJECT: Independence Day / 41h of July Events in Bal Harbour Village
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to remind you of the events planned for
Independence Day weekend in Bal Harbour Village.
On Friday, July 3 at 4:30 p.m. the patriotic sand sculpture featuring the Village's new logo will
be unveiled. The sand sculpture is located on the beach and 981h street. A photographer will
be available to take pictures of the Village Council and the sculpture.
On Saturday, July 4, professional sand sculptors will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to help residents and beachgoers create and build
their own sand sculptures on Bal Harbour Beach. A patriotic fireworks display will take place
beginning at 9:00 p.m. on the beach with the fireworks going off near the jetty.
Attached is a copy of the postcard which has been mailed to all residents.
Village staff along with the Police and the Parks and Open Spaces Departments will be
activating a major events plans over the holiday weekend to ensure a safe and enjoyable
experience for our residents and visitors.
