OVERTON Chief of Police b iy b11\ Noteworthy Incidents The incidents listed below are included in the above totals - However, they are of sufficient interest to be noted. ®HARBp�,10 �C L'1GE.i:, FLA Date incident/Arrest Location 07/05/15 Code Warning 10200 Collins Avenue (North Lot) Narrative 1 Comments While conducting a mandatory check of the North Municipal Lot, an officer observed a male painting and performing minor body repair to his vehicle. The male who is a resident in a nearby condominium, was informed that repair work is prohibited on village property. The individual was issued a code violation warning and left the area without further incident. No damage was observed to the municipal lot. 5 incident/Arrest Suspicious Person Location 10245 Collins Avenue (Carlton Terrace) Comments 7The�Bal bour Police Department received a call of a suspicious male walking in the rear of the Carltondominiums. Officers arrived immediately and spoke with the on -duty security guard, who the male had left the property walking South on Collins Avenue. Officers canvassed informed the officers the area and located the male sitting on the bus bench at 10225 Collins Avenue. The male confirmed he was at the rear of the Carlton Terrance looking for beach access. A computer check of the male did not reveal any open warrants or concerning criminal history. The male was given a trespass warning and advised not to return to the property. The incident was documented on a police report. incident/Arrest Location Suspicious Person 9700 Collins Avenue (Bal Harbour Shops) PNarrativementstified by the Bal Harbour Shops Security of a male in civilian clothing waInheshopswanexposed firearm on his hip. Officers located and detained the male in thegarage and subsequent inquires by investigating officers revealed the male was emplosecurity guard. The individual produced a valid Florida Conceal Weapons Permit and valid state security licenses. Officers explained to the male that he was in direct violation of Florida State Statues, which he understood and complied with officers' request to leave the property. The firearm was unloaded and placed it in the trunk of the male's vehicle. OVERTON Chief of Polic 114\� eo of Date incident/Arrest Location 9700 Collins Ave 07/07/15 Vehicle Burglary (Bal Harbour Shops) Narrative / Comments The victim who is a tourist from Detroit advised he left his rental vehicle securely parked on the Pink Level of the Bal Harbour Shops parking garage. Upon returning to his vehicle approximately one hour later, the victim discovered the driver's side door handle had been damaged and his two suitcases were missing from the rear seat. North Miami Beach Police Crime Scene Unit responded and processed the victim's vehicle for fingerprints. Officers conducted an area canvas for potential witnesses and surveillance footage; however, their attempts to locate witnesses and video footage were unsuccessful. Completed by: Captain M.
