OVERT Chief of Police Noteworthy Incidents The incidents listed below are included in the above totals - However, they are of sufficient interest to be noted. Date incident/Arrest Location 07/10/15 Hazardous Conditions 96t' Street & Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments The Bal Harbour Police Department was notified of a concrete spill in multiple areas along the 96 Street corridor. The investigation led to the possibility that the spill may have occurred from a concrete truck making a delivery to the Consultario construction site. At the request of officers, the site manager dispatched a crew in order to clean up the spill. There was no damage reported and no lane closures were necessary. Date incident/Arrest Location 07/10/15 1 Hazardous Conditions 10155 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments A Bal Harbour Police Officer patrolling Collins Avenue observed a downed palm crown obstructing the sidewalk and one lane of northbound Collins Avenue. The police department's dispatcher contacted Public Works, which sent personnel to remove the palm crown. There was no damage to property or injuries reported. Date Incident/Arrest Location 07/11/15 Arrest/Possession of Marijuana 9700 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments A Bal Harbour Police Officer working a mandatory traffic detail on Collins Avenue conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to an infraction. The officer approached the vehicle and detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The driver admitted to recently smoking marijuana and surrendered the remaining marijuana to the officer. OVER N p e§K�Ji Chief of Police FLA Date Incident/Arrest Location 07/14/15 AOA/Town of Surfside Police 8500 Harding Avenue Narrative / Comments The Town of Surfside Police Department requested assistance from our canine officer for a vehicle search. The Surfside Police Officers detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The officer and the canine conducted a search of the vehicle which did not reveal any illegal substance. Date Incident/Arrest Location 07/15/15 AOA/Town of Surfside Police 9300 Byron Avenue Narrative / Comments The Town of Surfside Police Department requested the assistance of our canine officer in order to conduct a search of a perimeter area within their jurisdiction, due to an armed burglary that occurred in their residential section. After a coordinated area canvass, the officers were unable to locate the suspect. No other police action was taken by Bal Harbour Police Officers. Completed by: Captain M.
