SUBJECT: Water Valve Replacements
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to advise you of the replacement of two fire
hydrant valves that are currently inoperable. The Village has received letters from the Miami -
Dade Fire Department requesting the repairs of these fire hydrant valves. One of the valves
is located on the northwest corner of Bal Bay Drive and Frontage Road and the other valve
is located in the grassy area across from 174 Park Drive.
The repairs are scheduled to begin at 11:00 pm on Thursday, July 30 and continue through
the night until 5:00 am of the following morning of Friday, July 31.
In order to complete the repairs, staff will shut off all water service during the date and time
listed above at the building addresses listed below:
• 290 Bal Bay Dr. (Quarzo)
• 286 Bal Bay Dr. (under construction)
• 9910 Collins Ave. (Tahoma)
• 9920 Collins Ave. (Vista Shores)
• 9930 Collins Ave. (B.H. Collins)
• 9940 Collins Ave. (Beach Club)
• 10150 Collins Ave. (Admiralty South)
• 10160 Collins Ave. (Admiralty North)
• 10170 Collins Ave. (Avondale)
• 10178 Collins Ave. (Brownstone)
• 10190 Collins Ave. (Bal Harbour Manor)
Notices will be sent out one week in advance to these locations advising of the water service
disruption.
