Deceased Animal
10200 Block on the Beach
Narrative / Comments
A Bal Harbour resident discovered a small deceased dog floating off shore. The resident
removed the dog from the water and turned it over to a Bal Harbour police officer. The officer
took the animal to the Public Works & Green Spaces facility and contacted Miami Dade County
Animal Control. Upon arriving the animal control officer checked the dog for a microchip but did
not locate one. The deceased dog was removed by animal control. As of this time no one has
come forward reporting a missing dog. Bal Harbour police officers canvassed the area for any
lost dog signs and have not found any. The dog did not appear to have any obvious injuries so It
is highly possible that the dog may have fallen from a boat and drowned.
