OVERTO Chief of Police Noteworthy Incidents The incidents listed below are included in the above totals - However, they are of sufficient interest to be noted. Date Incident/Arrest Location 08/02/15 AOA/MDPD 10800 Collins Avenue (Haulover Beach) Narrative / Comments A B.O.L.O. (Be On The Look Out) message was broadcasted by the Miami Dade Police Department for a missing 10 year old juvenile male who became separated from his parents while visiting Haulover Beach. Bal Harbour Village police officers responded to assist the Miami -Dade Police Department in locating the missing juvenile. Prior to the BHPD officers' arrival, the missing juvenile was located and reunited with the parents. Date Incident/Arrest Location 08/02/15 Unsecured Construction Site 284 Bal Bay Drive Narrative / Comments While conducting an area check of the gated community, a Bal Harbour police officer discovered the entrance gate to the property under construction was unsecured. BHPD officers conducted a security check of the premises and determined the gate was left unsecured by the workers. BHPD officers secured the gate and contacted the site foreman regarding the security breach. Date Incident/Arrest Location 08/03/15 AOA/Surfside Police 9324 Harding Avenue Narrative / Comments The Town of Surfside Police Department received a call via Miami Dade Police Department dispatch center of a male and female fighting in a parking lot in the area of 96 Street and Harding Avenue. Bal Harbour police officers responded to the area to assist Surfside police officers in locating the individuals. Surfside and Bal Harbour officers located the male and female in the parking lot. OVERTO Chief of Po e �'V \ Date incident/Arrest Location 08/05/15 Suspicious Persons 10250 Collins Avenue (Bellini) Narrative / Comments Bal Harbour police officers were summoned to the Bellini Condominium regarding a suspicious male and female who were observed by security via surveillance cameras, entering the rear of the property by jumping over the fence. BHPD officers arrived and located the male and female. Officers on the scene queried the individuals who admitted to jumping the fence onto the property while visiting the beach. The officers determined the individuals were residents of the Bal Harbour Quarzo. Officers on scene did not detect any indications of criminal activity on the part of the individuals being detained. The male and female did not have a criminal history, and were released, the incident was documented as per existing protocols. Date incident/Arrest Location 08/05/15 AOA/Surfside Police Byron/96 Street Narrative / Comments The Town of Surfside Police Department requested assistance from Bal Harbour police officers regarding a multiple vehicle crash with injuries in their jurisdiction. The crash affected the flow of vehicular traffic within the Town of Surfside. Bal Harbour police officers responded and assisted with the orderly flow of traffic until the crash scene was cleared. Date Incident/Arrest Location 08/05/15 Grand Theft /Dealing in Stolen 9700 Collins Avenue (Saks) Property Narrative / Comments Saks Fifth Avenue Loss Prevention personnel notified the Bal Harbour Police Department of a male who attempted to make a purchase with a fraudulent gift card. When the male was approached by Saks Fifth Avenue Loss Prevention Associates, he immediately fled the store. Bal Harbour police officers swiftly responded to the exits of the Bal Harbour Shops and located the male attempting to leave through the 96 Street exit. The male was detained and subsequently arrested being charged accordingly. OVE TO Chief of Poli Date Incident/Arrest Location 08/4/15 & 8/6/15 Interpersonal Skills Training 9701 Collins Avenue (St. Regis) Narrative / Comments Bal Harbour Police Department personnel along with other Bal Harbour Village employees attended a specialized interpersonal skills training designed to enhance police personnel and selected village employees verbal and non-verbal skills in casual communication and encounters with the public.
