AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
ADDING NEW SECTIONS 3710 AND 3711 TO
THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO THE SETTING OF CLOSING HOURS FOR CITY
PARKS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. New Sections 3710 and 3711, reading as
follows, are hereby added to the Temple City Municipal
Code:
Sec. 3710. Notwithstanding any other pro-
vision of the Temple City Municipal Code, all
municipally owned parks and recreation areas of
the City of Temple City shall be closed between
the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The
Director of Parks and Recreation of the City of
Temple City may, from time to time, authorize in
writing group recreational activities to continue
after 10:00 p.m.
Sec. 3711. No person shall enter or remain
in any public park or recreation area within the
City of Temple City at any time between the hours
of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except as authorized
by the Director of Parks and Recreation under
Section .1 hereof. No person shall loiter outside
of a recreation center while an activity is con-
ducted therein as to which such person is not
eligible to participate.
SECTION 2. PENALTY.. Any person, firm or corporation
violating this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine
of not more than $500, or by imprisonment in the City or
County Jail for a period of not to exceed six (6) months,
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to
be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in
the City of Temple City.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of
January , 19 69.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being
Ordinance No. 68 -276 , was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Temple City, held on the
17th day of December , 1968, and was duly
passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City. Clerk at a
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 7th
day of January , 196 , by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen-Beckley, Harker, Merritt, Tyrell, Briggs
