Narcotics Investigation
1 9909 Collins Avenue Sea View Hotel
Narrative / Comments
Sea View Hotel management personnel called the Bal Harbour Police Department in reference to
a suspicious incident. The hotel received two boxes that were shipped via the US mail. The
persons named on the label are not residents of the hotel nor were they registered as guests. The
subsequent investigation revealed that the boxes contained 27 large cans containing
approximately one pound each of suspected Marijuana. Bal Harbor Police Detectives along with
United States Postal Police are conducting a joint investigation and are working all leads. It
should be noted that this is an emerging trend of moving contraband. This trend is being seen
along the entire east coast of Florida. What is occurring is that contraband is mailed to hotels
along the coast and then suspects show up to claim the packages.
