However, they are of sufficient interest to be noted. Date Incident/Arrest I Location 09/18/15 Citizen Assist 1 10200 Block Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments A resident notified police of a male sitting on a curb near her residence. Lieutenant Oscar Amago met with the resident at which time she showed him where the male was located. The resident was concerned for the male's wellbeing and safety. Contact was made with the male at the bus stop in front of 10245 Collins Avenue. The male appeared to be in good health and no longer was sitting on the curb. The male stated he works in the City of Miami Beach and was waiting for the bus. The male did display signs that he had been drinking. Officers instructed him to please stay away from the curb and suggested he utilize the bus bench. A local and national computer check revealed no open warrants or criminal history. Date Incident/Arrest Location 09/18/15 Disturbance/ Metro Transit Bus 9600 Harding Avenue Narrative / Comments Bal Harbour police were dispatched to 96 Street and Harding Avenue regarding to a disturbance on a Metro Transit Bus. The driver stated that a passenger was spraying air freshener inside the bus which is against policy. The driver stated the passenger became upset when asked to stop, and started to cause a disturbance. The bus driver requested that the officers order the subject off of the bus. The passenger had no open warrants complied when asked to leave the bus. Date Incident/Arrest Location 09/19/15 Property Damage / City 10201 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments While on routine patrol a Bal Harbour officer observed a truck backing out of the Consultatio Construction area. The rear portion of the trailer jumped on the median and ran over five plants. The driver and vehicle had all proper current registration and insurance documents. OVER -ON Chief of Police Date Incident/Arrest Location 09/19/15 Found Dog 80 Park Drive & 92 Bal Cross Drive Narrative / Comments Residents of 80 Park Drive called police upon finding a lost Golden Retriever. Bal Harbour police officers conducted an area canvass and found the dogs home (92 Bal Cross) and reunited him with his owners. Date Incident/Arrest Location 09/19/15 Dog on the Beach 10185 Collins Avenue Narrative / Comments An anonymous resident called police and advised that a person had a small dog on the beach. Bal Harbour officers responded and located the person with the dog as they exited the beach area. The person produced a proper service animal certification card. Date Incident/Arrest Location 09/21/15 Damaged City Property 10200 Collins Avenue North Municipal Lot) Narrative / Comments While conducting a mandatory area check of the North Municipal Lot, a Bal Harbour officer noticed a damaged stop sign that was broken at the base. Public Works personnel responded and repaired the damaged sign. Date Incident/Arrest Location 09/2"1 AOA/Surfside Police 9100 Harding Avenue Narrative / Comments A Town of Surfside Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside the car. The Surfside officer requested assistance from the Bal Harbour K-9 officer to conduct a check of the vehicle. The Bal Harbour K-9 Apis alerted to the center console inside the automobile. This resulted in the discovery of a small amount of marijuana, BHPD officer remained on the scene and provided back up for the Surfside officer who handled the situation. 655 NINETY-SIXTH STREET • BAL HARBOUR FLORIDA 33154 • (305)866-5000 • (305)993-5153 FAX BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT ...Lou Chief of Poli Date Incident/Arrest Location 09/22/15 High Holy Days Visibility Detail Bal Harbour Village Jurisdiction Narrative / Comments During the High Holy Days, the Bal Harbour Police Department implemented a comprehensive operational plan designed to enhance the level of security and pedestrian safety. Bal Harbour officers were strategically positioned throughout the Village to provide high visibility police presence. In addition, the police department's command staff is in constant communication and coordination with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Completed by: Captain M.
