A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A DEDICATED PARKING SPACE
FOR VETERANS AT THE LYNWOOD CIVIC CENTER
WHEREAS, in honor of our country's veterans, the Lynwood City Council
wishes to install a dedicated parking spot for veterans at the Lynwood Civic Center;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has a long tradition of recognizing the
sacrifices of its brave men and women who bravely serve and have served in the
armed forces of the United States of America; and
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council for the City of Lynwood finds and declares that
the forgoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates said
recitals fully into this Resolution as substantive findings.
Section 2. The City Council approves the dedicated parking spot for
veterans to be installed at the Lynwood Civic Center — at the
identified parking space located between the main south-facing
entrance of the old council chambers at City Hall; just east of
the new Annex facility and west of the Veterans Memorial
Garden.
Section 3. The City Council further authorizes the City Manager to direct
staff to complete the project as presented.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of November 2018.
