APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH KANE, BALLMER & BERKMAN TO PROVIDE
SPECIALIZED LEGAL SERVICES RELATED TO THE PLAZA MEXICO RESIDENCES
AND ATLANTIC HOUSING PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the City has a need for specialized legal counsel related to the Plaza
Mexico Residences and the Atlantic Housing Project; and
WHEREAS, Kane, Ballmer & Berkman is the most qualified and knowledgeable
firm to provide this service; and
WHEREAS, Kane, Ballmer& Berkman can provide legal services at a cost of$350
per hour.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign an Agreement
with Kane, Ballmer& Berkman to be used on an as-needed basis, and in a form approved
by the City Attorney.
Section 2. Services related to the Plaza Mexico Residences will be reimbursed
from the developer so there will be no impact to the general fund.
Section 3. Services related to the Atlantic Housing Project will be paid from the
affordable housing fund, so there will be no impact to the general fund.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 2018.
