A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A 30 FOOT CHRISTMAS TREE WITH DECORATIONS AND
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF $40,000 FROM THE UNAPROPRIATED
2017 LEASE REVENUE BOND (FUND 9053)
WHEREAS, the City often hold Christmas Tree Lighting ceremonies in front of City
Hall; and
WHEREAS, the existing Christmas Tree that is propped at City Hall is dated; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 6-3.7(b) of the Lynwood Municipal Code,
purchases in excess of $25,000 shall be by formal bid and awarded by the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Quotes for the purchase and installation of
a decorated Christmas tree; and
WHEREAS, to have a fully installed new Christmas Tree before the holidays, a
purchase should be made expeditiously.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to approve a
purchase order for the purchase of a 30 foot Christmas Tree to the lowest responsible
bidder as a result of the Request for Quotes Process.
Section 2. That the City Council approves to the following appropriation:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
