Subject: Memorial Service for Fallen Bal Harbour Police Officers
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is inform you that the Bal Harbour Police
Department (BHPD) will be holding a memorial service in honor of the department's two
fallen officers - Lt. Robert J. Stabb (fallen on 10/31/57) and Officer John Richard Melendez
(fallen on 10/17/85). In commemoration of the anniversary of their End of Watch, the BHPD
will be laying wreaths for both Officers, and have invited their families to attend.
The memorial service will be held as follows:
DATE: Thursday, October 29, 2015
TIME: 11 a.m. -Noon
LOCATION: Bal Harbour Police Officer Memorial (Village Hall Courtyard)
We would like to invite the members of the Council to attend this ceremony in honor of our
fallen officers.
