AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
STATE FARM INSURANCE
WHEREAS, State Farm Insurance, through its program Safe Neighbors, has grant
funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond through the Richmond Police Department desires to
submit a grant application to purchase a Water Rescue boat for the
Richmond Water Rescue Unit; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a
grant application to State Farm Insurance, through its program, Safe Neighbors, to assist
with the purchase of a Water Rescue boat for the Richmond Water Rescue Unit.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Four Thousand Five Hundred Ten Dollars and Sixty Cents
($4,510.60).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to
purchase a Water Rescue boat for the Richmond Water Rescue Unit.
Passed and adopted this _5th_ day of _March 2007 by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
