Consider the core value of Intelligent Risk Taking. At MRCC , we embrace the concept behind this im- portant core value. You 've heard of the old saying nothing ventured, nothing gained? That is what intelli- gent risk taking is all about. In the words of Debbie Miller, chief compliance officer at Ensign Services, "Fully understanding potential consequences and rewards of an action (the 'intelligent' part of the value) leads to better decisions, improved safety, and increased benefits ." We identify a problem/issue, de- scribe the intended outcomes-good or bad, look at what past experience has taught us, make a plan of action, execute the plan, then evaluate the outcome. No decision is bad, if it is based on what we know. We strive to understand. We look to our core values to guide us ... as we strive to be the Best of the Best. Ahoy Tbere, Sbarlie! (Jrhe1·e are you?) Though residents and staff did not spy Sharlie , aka Sl imy Slim , the Twilight Dragon , while on MRCC 's recent , annual boat rides around Payette Lake , we declare our cruises around the lake a huge success! The day was fair and sunny, the residents an intrepid group . Shout out to Cheryl Lamb for organizing and executing this awesome adventure! And a hearty "Than k you "' to our many staff members , as well , for working together to make th is event such a fun , memorable day for our residents! Maybe next yea r we 'll see Sharl ie, the name given to a sea serpent who is a part of Idaho folklore , bel ieved by some to live in the deep alpine waters of Payette Lake. We'll look for him again , next year. "All God's Angels Come to Us Disguised" James Russell Lowell .It certainly was the case when Rick came to us-Sporting a wonderful beard, a Harley Davidson bandana, and a ready smile , Rick is the guardian for our little flock of hens (for which we , and the hens are very grateful) and whose hard work , perseverance , and selflessness has benefited MRCC 's landscape: it turns out that Rick has a very green thumb . He has so much talent for mak- ing a brown patch into a rather lush, green lawn that you could say he is our very own "gardening angel". Because of Rick , we now enjoy a very healthy green lawn along our east entrance , and he is working his magic on a large yard on the south-east side of our building. Rick, kudos to you. We hope you know just how much the sta tf loves the aesthetic improvements you've made to our grounds. 103rd WARR6N
