ORDINANCE NO. c:3
AN ORDINANCE INCORPORATING BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM
ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLING CODE, 1979 EDITION, SUCH
INCORPORATION BEING AUTHORIZED BY SECTION OF K.S.A.
12-3009 THROUGH K.S.A 12-3012, INCLUDING ANY AMENDMENTS
THERETO, AND K.S.A. SUPPLEMENT 12-3301 and 12-3302.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
That the fOllOWing described One and Two Family Dwelling Code
for the City of Bel Aire, Kansas is hereby adopted:
Sect ion 1. Incorpora t ing by reference the One and Two Family
Dwelling Code, 1979 Edition, as published by Building Officials and
Code Aministrators Interantional, Inc. 19726 S. Halsted St., Homewood,
Illinois, 60430; International Conference of Building Officials, 5360
Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California, 90601 and Southern Building
Code Congress International, 900 Montclair Road, Birmingham, Alabama,
35213, inCluding the Appendix thereto. The Standard Code shall include
all codified supplements to the One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1979
Edition. The Standard Code is hereby adopted as the One and Two Family
Building Code for the City of Bel Aire and incorporated as if fully
set out herein.
Section 2. Not less than three (3) copies of said Uniform One
and Two Family Dwelling Code stamped "Official Copy, as adopted by
Ordinance No. ~ , and filed with the City Clerk to be open to
inspection "ana available to the public at all reasonable business
hours.
Section 3. The adoption of the rules and regulations for the
enforcement of this Ordinance shall be by the City Council of the City
of Bel Aire or their duly authorized representative. The authority to
promulgate and approve such rules and regulations may be made as are
necessary to carry out the purposes of the Standard Code and such rules
and regulations shall be effective upon approval by the City Council.
Section 4. The Administration and Enforcement of this Code ahll
be vested in the City of Bel Aire or their duly authorized representative.
All rules and regulations concerning the Code shall be authorized by
the City including the issuance of permits and collection of fees.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication in the official city paper according to law.
