ORDINANCE NO. 69 -287
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, NAMING AND RENAMING
CERTAIN. STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That that certain public street in the City of
Temple City heretofore designated as Double Drive, and extending
from Grand Avenue to Live Oak Avenue, is hereby renamed and
designated as Santa Anita Avenue and from and after the effective
date of this Ordinance shall be known as Santa Anita Avenue.
SECTION 2. Wherever the former name: of the above described
public street, or portion thereof, is referred to in any other
portion of the Temple City Municipal Code or in any ordinance,
resolution or other document, such reference shall be deemed to
mean and refer to the new name here i nbefore assigned thereto, and
all such references shall be changed to indicate the new name of
the street or portion thereof without the necessity of further
action.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in
the o f f i c i a l newspaper within fifteen days after date of adoption
hereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of June, 1969.

I, KARL KOSKI, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No.
69-287, was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Temple City, held on the 3rd day of June, 1969,
and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved
and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 17th day of June, 1969,
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Beckley, Briggs, Merritt, Harker
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen- Tyrell
