A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE
VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF
THE VILLAGE AN INTERLOCAL MUTUAL AID
AGREEMENT FOR MAJOR OR CATASTROPHIC
DISASTER EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND RECOVERY;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Key Biscayne is geographically vulnerable to natural
disasters that may cause severe disruption of essential human
services and severe property damage; and
WHEREAS, a mutual aid agreement recognizes that additional
manpower and equipment may be needed to mitigate further damage and
restore vital services to the citizens affected if such disaster
were to occur;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Village Manager is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of the Village the attached Interlocal Mutual Aid
Agreement for Major or Catastrophic Disaster Emergency Response and
Recovery.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon adoption.
