HomeMy Public PortalAbout017-2007 - Grant - RPD - Walmart - boat, etc.ORDINANCE NO. 17-2007 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM RICHMOND WAL-MART STORE WHEREAS, Richmond Wal-Mart Store, through its program Safe Neighborhood Heroes Grant has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to assist with the costs of the Water Rescue Unit boat or Fire/Police Training Facility or the purchase of a projector for training room; and WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to Richmond Wal-Mart Store, through its program, Safe Neighborhood Heroes to assist with the costs of the Water Rescue Unit boat, or Fire/Police Training Facility or the purchase of a projector for training room; and 2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,200.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to assist with the costs of the Water Rescue Unit boat or Fire/Police Training Facility or the purchase of a projector for training room Passed and adopted this _19th_ day of _March 2007 by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
