A GENERAL ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX
DEDUCTIONS IN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREAS OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA
Whereas Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted Resolution No. 10-
1984 designating six economic revitalization areas within the City of Richmond,
and
Whereas Common Council adopted Resolution No. 24-1989 designating a seventh economic
revitalization area within the City, and
Whereas Common Council adopted Ordinance No. 13-1992 providing that an owner of new
manufacturing equipment whose statement of benefits is approved after April 30,
1991, is entitled to a deduction for 5 years pursuant to the authority to make such
determinations set forth in I.C. 6-1.1-12.1-4.5, and
Whereas it is desirable to increase the term for which an owner of new manufacturing
equipment whose statement of benefits is approved after the date of this ordinance
is entitled to a deduction from the assessed value of that equipment for a period of 5
years or 10 years,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by Common Council of Richmond, Indiana, that an owner of
new manufacturing equipment whose statement of benefits is approved after the date of this
ordinance is entitled to a deduction from the s,essed value of that equipment for a period of either
5 years or 10 years as request fi by such own r in filing the atement of benefits.
