Mayor Gabriel Groisman and Members ofthe Village Council
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to update you on two events which were
held this week in Bal Harbour:
Protective Mask Distribution to East Side Condominiums:
On behalf of Bal Harbour Village and in collaboration with the Bal Harbour Shops, over
1,000 Surgical Masks were delivered to the Condominium's Managers for distribution
to their residents who are 65 years old and older. A second order for 5,000 cloth
reusable masks has been placed and is anticipated to arrive in mid -May. The
Condominium Managers and residents have expressed their appreciation for these
actions.
First Responders Appreciation Procession:
At the request of the East Side Condominium Managers, an appreciation event was
organized which featured the Bal Harbour Police Department and Miami -Dade Fire and
Rescue riding in procession along the Beach Path beginning at the North end and ending
at 96th Street. Strong showings of residents waving flags and banners from their balconies,
windows and public spaces, as well as residents and onlookers along the Beach Path
applauding and cheering was well received by the First Responders.
Coverage of the event was carried by television stations ABC 10 and NBC 6 (featuring
comments by Mayor Groisman), and was also featured in Social Media postings. Links to
