AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1994 BUDGET
WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for
calendar year 1994, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to authorize additional appropriations pursuant to Indiana
Code 6-1.1-18-5, and
WHEREAS a public hearing was conducted May 2, 1994, as required for additional
appropriations pursuant to legal notice of such hearing published April 22,
1994, in compliance with Indiana Code 5-3-1-2(b),
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the 1994 budget be amended as follows, to wit:
A. Cumulative Capital Development Fund Add
1. Equipment
No. 208-28-280-2800-4-4410 $105,358.00
B. Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund
1. Equipment
No. 2 l 2- 32-320- 3202.4-4410 $13,032.00

Dear Council Nieniber:
This ordinance appropriates money available for expenditure upon equipment in 1994 from the
Cumulative Capital Development Fund and the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund.
The attached chart shows a breakdown of these two funds as of April 19, 1994. The reason an
unappropriated balance exists in each fund is the lack of complete. information on total receipts in 1994
at the time the budget was prepared.
\1r. Grimes will be available to answer any questions you may have at the meeting.
Due to the fact that this is an Additional Appropriation, a public hearing has been advertised as
required by state statute and the ordinance must be submitted to the State Board of Tax Commissioners
for final approval.
This ordinance can be adopted in a single meeting on two motions to suspend rules since the advertised
public hearing will take place on first reading.
